4 Ways to Have a Stress- Free Day at the Beach

When most people think of the beach, they associate it with feeling relaxed, but sometimes we can forget about the things that can ruin what is supposed to be a relaxing beach day… like driving around for 30 minutes looking for parking!

Below are a few tips to help make sure that your beach day includes getting lost in the sound of the waves, the feeling of the sand beneath your toes, and the sun’s warm rays hitting your skin!

1. Go to a non- tourist beach – You will find more space to lay your towel and easier access to parking. If you do enjoy going to a more touristy beach, think about taking an uber instead.

2. Leave your phone in the car – I know what you are thinking  “What if there is an emergency?” Trust me… someone near you has a phone. Enjoy the beach, not your screen. I challenge you to try it… even if it is for the first hour and you run to your car to get it later.

3. Bring Food and water – This may seem like an obvious tip, but I know from experience that having food and water makes you feel satisfied which means you will be relaxed. I have never met a relaxed hungry person… have you?

4. Choose wisely where you set up shop– Imagine trying to relax with a group of young college students drinking and blasting their music right next to you. Scout the area to make sure there are no distractions.
